The Jeep name is still alive and doing well. The Jeep
4-door Wrangler got Chrysler Group pretty much through the recession. The name
has long been synonymous with off-road capability and because of that we still
see individuals that are purchasing them all over the world. Chrysler has had a
lot of influence from Daimler and now Fiat but is continuing on with some great
off-roaders. For 2013 Jeep we are seeing some new faces arrive as we see the
2013 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that will be based on the 2013 Durango as it will be
able to offer a third row seating option. So what about the 2013 Jeep Grand
Cherokee? The 2013 Grand Cherokee is getting some options and they look to be
very good options. The standard 2013 Grand Cherokee is impressive enough as it
is as it can deliver power and efficiency.
The 2013 Grand Cherokee is no light
weight as the gross vehicle weight rating is around 6500Lbs. You would thing a
6-cylinder would prove futile in an attempt to power this beast but it does a
great job with nearly 300 Horsepower and still offers a 5000 Lb towing capacity
and 23 Mpg’s and a great 4×4 system for under 30K. It looks as though the new
8-speed automatic is going to be making its way through possibly the entire
Grand Cherokee lineup, even the SRT8. If that is the case then this 8-speed
must be a one tough transmission as Jeep continues their 100k powertrain
warranty.
Next you have the V8 that still delivers 20 Mpg’s and a 7500 towing
capacity as well as some more power to throw around if need be. Then there is
the 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8 that wants to eat every sports car on the street
while giving you luxurious amenities and comfort. This beast packs a 6.4 Liter
with 470 Hp and an All-Wheel-Drive system making the launch a neck breaker. Or
there is the 2013 HPE800 Twin Turbo Jeep by Hennessey that offers 800 Hp and a
0-60 time in 3.1 Seconds if the SRT8 bores you.
