Lexus Stopped Production of HS 250h in January

No one does not know that the Japanese automaker, Toyota is the expert in hybrids. However, some time not all its creations are success in the market. Just take a look back in past 2009, when the Lexus HS 250h hybrid sedan was introduced in North America.

The HS 250h was sold in 10,663 units example in 2010 with its price tag starting of $34,200. The sales rate were worsen when in the following year the company was managed in selling only 2,864 units. It means the sales was decreasing by 73 percent or around 240 vehicles monthly.

Well, due to that pitiful condition and the company was convinced that the sales would not get better, Lexus decided to get rid off its HS 250h. The company also had stated to an online automotive magazine via email that in January, the company had ended the HS 250h’s production.

Lexus said that production of the HS 250h is already over in January this year. The company has monitored its sales for every vehicle and adjusted some vehicles to fulfill markets’ demand. Finally it was coming to a conclusion that the HS should be included in the discontinuation.

The company added that the new ES 300h would not replace the HS 250h in its lineup and it would be the part of the hybridization of many other existing cars in Toyota and Lexus range.

However, now the company is still putting a price tag of the HS 250h at $37,030 excluding handling and destination fee.
