New 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid Priced $555 Less Than the Prius V

Everybody knows that Ford C- MAX Hybrid and the Toyota Prius V are rivals and the Blue Oval automaker also has confessed that it has set its eyes on the Prius V with its new C-MAX.

Previously, Ford had claimed that compared to the Toyota Prius V, Ford C- MAX Hybrid will be much more fuel efficient since it is able to figure an estimated EPA at 44 mpg city, 40 mpg highway and as much 42 mpg in combined cycle. Well, just wait and see how much number of fuel economy will be returned by the C- MAX Hybrid.

So what’s new? All right, now Ford has just announced about the pricing on its new C- MAX Hybrid. The company claimed that the new C- MAX Hybrid’s price is lower by nearly $555 than that of the Toyota Prius V. The automaker sets a price tag for the new C- MAX Hybrid at $25,995, without the handling and destination fees that have yet to be informed.

Ken Czubay who is the vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service said that compared to the Prius V, the 2013 C- MAX Hybrid offered the customers with more fuel economy, performance, technology and functionality in the same time. More importantly, the owners of C- MAX Hybrid would spend less money in the gas station.

The C- MAX that is build based on the brand’s European market C- MAX is empowered with a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter Atkinson- cycle gasoline engine that mated to an electric motor and a lithium- ion battery pack.

The company is also planning to introduce a plug- in hybrid model on the five- seater C- MAX Hybrid range. The plug- in hybrid variant is claimed to deliver a better fuel economy equivalent or MPGe in all- electric mode than that of the Toyota Prius plug- in hybrid with its 800 km driving range.
