Ferrari Enzo II latest spy photos - now front view

Last week first photos of the latest test mule evolution for the Ferrari Enzo successor showed limited vantage points. But now we have photos from several angles including the front view.

Caught during a test session in Maranello, the Enzo mule is looking a bit more formed than previous mule prototypes which used the heavily altered body of a 458 Italia. Although remnant traces of the 458 are still seen, particularly in the front end, the most prominent design detail that seems to be final is the shape of the rear window which strongly resembles the one on the P4/5 Competizione.

It is strongly believed the F70 will use a 6.2-liter V12 engine in tandem with a HY-KERS hybrid system which has been confirmed by Ferrari. This could enable the car to have a combined output of approximately 920 hp (686 kW / 933 PS). If these numbers prove true, the supercar could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 408 km/h (254 mph).

Regardless of the final figures, Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa has already revealed the model will be made from the same type of carbon fiber that is used in the company's F1 cars. This should make it lighter and stronger than the Enzo and F50.

Ferrari has confirmed plans to introduce the Enzo successor later this year.

Ferrari 365 Turin Design Study

In today’s digital renderings era, a current or an older model produced by some automakers’ not so easily replaced by a concept model. In other words, a new concept may or may not really be aimed to replace the existing model. It is totally depending on the automaker whether the concept model is appropriate to shift the old model or not.

Just the same with a design study named the 365 Turin created for a new Ferrari supercar. This new concept model is developed independently by David Williams, a designer from Sydney, Australia.

Unfortunately, the independent designer did not say anything about the concept model’s description. Aside of its sharply styled design, we do know nothing about its mechanical system.

However, looking at the 365 Turin’s front end that is created in low position, it is impossible to house the front or front mid engine setup. In addition, a mid- engine model is also impractical to be placed in the concept since there is no air scoops on the car’s sides and air outlets at the top and the rear end of the concept study.

The only possibility is that the new Ferrari 365 Turin design study can be a proposal for a pure electric vehicle. Eric Clapton Ferrari One- Off SP12 EC

Nearly a couple of months ago, we have already seen the first pictures and video of the Eric Clapton’s coachbuilt SP12 EC when presented in a London dealership. However at May 25th the Italian automaker has brought the exotic vehicle to public, the company also said that the one- off model would be featured in the Ferrari Magazine to be the newest issue.

The company had named the 458 Italia- based model with ‘SP’ that is short of Special Project, ‘12’ that stands for the Ferrari 512BB which is the vehicle’s design inspiration and the last is ‘EC’ for Eric Clapton.

Ferrari stated that the world- popular guitar and singer has been presented to one special Ferrari model, the 512 BB. Eric Clapton himself has already had three over the years. Thus, his longing is to drive a car inspired by such model with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia.

The Italian company said that in the magazine article, Eric Clapton would mostly explain about his passion and how the idea of a one- off car was born. According to some reports, the one- off supercar will be built in conjunction with the Centro Stile Ferrari with Pininfarina in collaboration with the Maranello’s engineers.

Unfortunately, so far no other specific details about the SP 12 EC than that news we have stated above.

Black Widow Treatment for Ferrari 458 Italia Spider

Do you know that now, the latest Ferrari 458 Italia program ‘Perfetto’ has Black Widow characteristics?

Well, the 458 Italia Spider now transforms to be a poisonous Black Widow with the help of a German tuning firm, Wheelsandmore.

Actually, the tuning house is only applying very slight styling changes into the Spider. The tuner makes use of carbon fiber parts to create the rear diffuser, fuel cap, rear fog lamp frames, mirrors and spoiler fins. On the other hand, in order to decorate the interior of the spider and the trunk and engine compartments, the company utilizes the same lightweight materials.

The company is also ready if there are any requests from buyers who want to replace the wheel housings and the whole under- floor with special carbon- fiber parts.
